Dear ,

Kramer, a fellow Crewby here. That stroke question is worded

just fine. Hope you get an answer to it and it is either in NF2 Review or

you post it on Crew. I haven't had a problem with stroke (I think !) and

I've had 12 NF related surgeries. Didn't realize it was such a risk or

problem until I read Crew postings.

Thanks for thinking of all of us and writing up this question. Your

daughters sound beautiful. This comes from a lady who had three sons. God

bless you and all your ladies.

Kramer

I am a little confused by all this; is this note from Rick's son? Why is

Rick in the hospital?? I was wondering why we have not heard from him.

Tell him we are all thinking of him; . Marie

the note is from me, I was there hospital again with pneumonia in July!

What will happen in the winter? all of this is stroke related and the

need for thr trachea tube. I have never been sick and now? For a

bitter person I have aright to it. do you sleep at night with a 1 in

diameter tube in your throat? how about the 1/4 inch one in my gut at

the same time? the pills 4 times a day, vertigo where at times I stand

and fall! not tomention the expense thats enormous. There iis more too!

speaking of pills they go in the G tube I have and never do I eat or

swallow anything via mouth. Think about it. Into LA in very good health,

walking talking and even laughing. Doesnt happen and more. ABI might be

wonderful but there is a risk, don't fool yourself. Only Adam ,

before his death, came out with the potential for harm. Yes it can do

good, but think it over. The CI and ABI are very differen in placement

and ooperation.

Rick

Did you ever tell us what your problems swallowing are?Maybe I missed

it.Anyhow,I wanted to share something I wasn't allowed to eat,had a peg

tube put in my gut,and got pneumonia .I was treated, and released.in the

hospital.I was home a week, and had pneumonia again. This went on untill

my 3rd trip to the hospital, with pneumonia, the Dr finally ran test and

found even though I wasn't eatimg or drinking, saliva was going into my

lungs.

Anyhow,I'm not sure if this is anything like your problem, but If it is,I

just wanted to speed up your Dr's. thought process, and save you afew

ambulance rides.
