Hi Jan:

I wouldn't reccomend Ann Nolen in town. My daughter had a bad experience with her, and changed Doctors. It is my understanding she is no longer in practice; she had an issue and is no longer in practice. You can call her old number and the receptionist will give you the info that she is working elsewhere but not as a "doctor".

My daughter was given Armour but no tests were ever given.; My daughter complained of fatigue and constipation. She became overmedicated for a long time and now has cardiomyopathy, but doesn't know if it was caused by being overmedicated.

FYI, I was a former patient of Dr. Larry Sharp and is an excellent thyroid doctor. However, I just got a letter from his office a few weeks ago saying he was going to Afghanistan for a year. I guess he's in the National Guard.

NOOO! I am moving to Texas in July, and that is who I thought would most fit

me. Argh!

Anyone know of a doc that treats thyroid and knows something about adrenal

fatigue? We will most likely be living in Keller, TX and I am willing to drive

an hour or so.....

Thanks!

Do they take insurance? If not, do they bill for you and is their reimbursement

rate decent? Thanks!

Spurlock takes no insurance, nor will he submit your claims, but will allow you to get your labs at Quest, Labcorp, or CPL. You need to find out which one has a contract with your insurance and will bill your insurance directly. If you have an out-of-network benefit, you can submit his bill. Make sure it includes all the information your insurance company requires, such as diagnosis codes, length of visit, etc.

Very few of the better thyroid docs take any insurance at all, and most are very expensive. Almost none of them are willing to deal with adrenal issues.
