Digital aids

has had ReSound programmable Digital Aids for two years now (I

think). We got them because Rick's folks (especially the FIL) are really

adamant about the " hearinh thing " for . (I think it is more central

auditory processing than anything and aids won't help that, but they pais

for the cost of the aids that insurance didn't.) I said if it gets

more environmental awareness...great. I know it wont help with speech, but

that's fine.

Anyway, 's aids were $3000 and included several rechecks and

reprogramming sessions. Also included the audiological exam and a set of

ear molds.

BTW: Yesterday I had windows all down on the van. I was in the left turn

lane and had two (yeah, 2!) firetrucks scream by her side of the

van. Kenny and I were both ready to pull our ears off and she was looking

at something between the seats...didn't even know they went by! <sigh> Oh,

well.
