Guest guest
I know that everyone has problems with pain and movement. Thats apparent! But has anyone had any luck with finding an easier way to shave your legs and stuff? I have been in the shower for an hour, and ran out of hot water before I finally finished. Now I feel like taking a nap! I guess it does'nt help anything that it's rained for a week and a half. I'm a living, breathing , barometer! Guest guest
My sweet husband, when I need it. Normally, I do those things about 1/2 an hour after I take my percocet when I'm able to!! Guest guest
I straddle the bathtub and shave my left leg.....then I swing the right leg over and sit on the edge of the tub. I have to bend down to get the right leg.....but usually I can do it. Then I get up and take a shower. Cam shaving. I know that everyone has problems with pain and movement. Thats apparent! While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general. 2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better. Have a nice day everyone. Guest guest
One of my other less painful conditions luckily prohibits the growth of hairs on the legs.. but.. I have an idea that would work for me. This should probably be done on the day that the linen on the beds is being changed. Sitting propped up on the bed with your legs straight out before you, it should be very easy to shave your legs. I can hardly reach anything nowadays but I know I could reach to shave my legs like that. Guest guest
I still do it myself. I suffer in pain to do the toenails. The shaving is a little easier. Looks like an acrobatic with muscle spasms, but gets the job done. Hope you are doing well today. Lynn Re: shaving. Guest guest
Hi, I use nair...the liquid hair remover. I put it on my legs and armpits about 10 or 12 minutes before I shower. It was too painful on my back to shave with a razor... The nair makes your skin nice and soft, too...it doesn't smell so great but it's worth it. Guest guest
What I do is holler for my husband and tell him I'll owe him one if he'll help me. You should see my toe nails when he gets done painting them! Picaso he's NOT! But appreciated none the less.

I have been in the shower for an hour, and ran out of hot water before I finally finished. < I find the only way I can shave is if I am on the side of the bathtub or actually in the tub. Lately, if I do it on the side of the tub I get razor burn so bad I hurt for days. I can't go without shaving for long either as my skin starts hurting horribly after the hair grows for more than a few days. a
Guest guest
What about a pedicure? Has anyone had one? Are they too painful for you? I hate people touching my feet so I've only had one. My friend and her family was taking us to Florida 3 years ago for vacation (everyone needs friends like that!!) and her and her daughter were getting a pedicure so she asked if my daughter and I wanted to go and get one too. Neither of us have ever had one before and we both hate our feet being touched. Sooooo, it was not pleasant for either of us but it wasn't painful! Just curious if it is for us sufferers. At that time I wasn't suffering yet either so I wouldn't know.. Margaret, Mom to the monsters and master quilter -- Re: shaving. Guest guest
I've always wanted to have one, but my feet hurt so bad that I'm not sure I could take it. I tried letting my friend come over a few months ago and try the wax thing on my legs. MISTAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! never do that again. Nope not me! I realy had my nickers in a twist that night! OUCH! Guest guest
Oh, you haven't lived until you have had a foot massage and reflexology on your feet. It really helps the tension. Love, Cam> I have to agree with Cam on this one. When I used to go and get massages, the girl would always do reflexology and massage my feet. It hurt, but it was a good hurt if that makes sense. hugs, Sundra Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall
