Howdy All!

I just got back from talking with Dee and passing on info from the

conference. She now has my copy of " The Book " and my conference notes. We

spent about two hours talking, and that was after a few other times talking

on the phone! <g> I thought I might put the experience in different

words. I know I've already said it was awesome, but I am still hearing

Penina's beautiful voice, seeing Trynny sign, imagining Destiny running

around with Zoe (Thursday night), and watching Aubrie W. do her butt scoot

or Jilian hop.

It was mentioning a problem I was having in dealing with Kayla and hearing

other parents say that they solved their problem by .... It was being able

to share what I had learned with others and recognizing that perhaps some

of my experiences might help others. It was gaining information that I as

a professional (ok, don't snicker too loudly) could share with other

professionals in helping all kinds of kids with different disabilities

because the general concepts are the same.

It was Casey grabbing me from behind, or picking up 5 beautiful women and

taking them to the hotel. (Yes, my wife reads this list and she knows the

story!) It was having the child of a parent not on the list grab my hand

and put it on her stroller buckle asking me to take her out and let her

walk...and the mother not even having second thoughts about entrusting this

special child to a stranger.

And it was information. and more information. and even more information.

(I guess at this time the only proper response to my last sentence would be

to say, " No *!@#!* Sherlock! " ) It was meeting other professionals and

getting ideas from them! Oh, and by the way Ann Gloyn, I read both the

post about the side by side bike AND about your travel to Corpus Christi.

I'll forgive you not calling me here in Corpus Christi if you will give me

some info on the side by side bike. <g>
