Guest guest
Hello to all, My name is . Had my tubal reversal with Dr. Berger. I came here for info, as I'm on the computer always hoping to get some new stuff about conceiving after a reversal, although I know it is more a board for women who are considering surgery with Dr. Levin or have had surgery with Dr. Levin. You all seem really nice and informative. I read the post by Dr. Levin, about how he felt that some other info out there is misleading and illegal. I have to say I was taken aback when I read that he felt that the 7-10 day recovery time after surgery was " crap " (I gotta say that I thought this particular statement was very unprofessional). I am here to tell you that you CAN recover in 7-10 days. Just ask me and the many women on the other boards. I can tell from all of your testimonials that you love Dr. Levin and this is really, really wonderful. It is so, so important to be at peace with the decision. To feel like you have been taken care of by the very best. Dr. Levin is right when he says that price is not the best way to make such a critical decision as a TR doctor. Expertise and skill is paramount. Dr. Levin said that he kept information off his beware page because he wanted to take the " high ground " , but his last post looks like he may have taken a different, lower path after all. If this activity that he speaks of is, in fact, illegal than he is bound ethically and morally to speak up and out about this. Perhaps he is concerned about libel and slander. Being cryptic about this info that he is keeping to himself is, in my opinion, more damaging than he realizes. Good luck to everyone. Guest guest
- I am doing okay for now. Just having problems with my cycle and such with the problems of tubal ligation. Hopefully that will get straightend (sp?) out by the end of this summer. Right now I am looking at August for my TR. I won't know about the money until July so hopefully things will be locked in by then. I am corresponding with someone on this list about being a buddy. So hopefully things will work out. Thanks for asking- Holly TubalLigationReversal wrote: > > You're right, you know...this is Dr. Levin's site...if someone has a problem with him...buh-bye!! Great to hear your opinion on it, Holly!! Heck, my husband still has to drive me to and from work till next week!! The incision, even that troublesome left side (hee hee) is nearly completely healed to a pink line. There's still the little flap of skin that can be lifted on that left side, but underneath it, it is closed. > > Anyway, hope you are doing well and let me know how things are going with pursuing your tr!! > > Hart - 32 > DH Jon - 37 > DD Arianne - 14 > DD a - 6 > DS - 3 > TL - 6/16/98 > TR - 6/4/01 ~ Dr. Levin > 8 cm right side ~ 9 cm left side > Re: 7-10 day recovery > > > - > > First of all Dr. Levin can say what he wants. He is the doctor. My own internest is like this and will talk like this. However it may be uncomfortable for you to have a doctor talk like this but realize this THEY ARE HUMAN!!!! Just like us. Sorry!! I am taken back by your post and just wanted to point out that I would feel more comfortable with a Dr. that is comfortable with his speech and his form of slang which makes me very comfortable instead of using terminology that drowns me. > > As far as 7-10 day recovery There is no way you can recover in that short period of time after being cut open c-section style. I had three c-section and with all of them it took me 3 weeks to be able to do heavy duty work. What Dr. Levin is saying by " Crap " is that is riduculous to tell a woman that she can return to assmembly line work after 10 days. You are not even supposed to drive until 6 weeks. However my last c-section I drove after 4 weeks at the suggestion of my OB. > > I was just shocked that you talked about Dr. Levin in this manner when you do not even know him or have never talked to him over the phone. > > Sorry for being blunt but you were very blunt the way I see it. > > Sorry ladies -I am getting off my soapbox right now > > HOlly > TubalLigationReversal wrote: > > > > Hello to all, > > > > My name is . Guest guest
You know , if I didn't know better I would say that you are either on Dr. Berger's staff or maybe even Dr. Berger himself??????????? If Dr. Berger is the professional you say he is it would go without saying that none of his patients would even venture to this site. It seems that they would be comfortable with him and following his every suggestion. I contacted Dr. Berger prior to finding Dr. Levin and the only person I ever spoke to was his nurse via email. She was the one I emailed my 3 day FSH to and she was the one with all the answers so maybe you should ask her what she thinks about recovery time since she has all the answers for Dr. Berger. We here are just a group of women who found a male doctor who actually cares about us. We didn't ask for permission to use Dr. Levin or advice from anyone who chose not to. I am sure everyone here would love you to stay and learn something from OUR doctor but maybe you should keep your negative comments to yourself. We have enough on our plates " thank you very much " and would like to get back to figuring out this infertility thing. Enjoy your stay here or where ever you feel that you fit in. Guest guest
Dr. L, Hope you don't mind that I call you Dr. L. I am a hillbilly (lolol) from KY and we have to stick together. I know the other person who wrote the other letter against you. She wrote a friend of mine and told her basically she wasn't fit to be a mother and shouldn't have had a reversal done. Just because she wasn't married. I am glad that you take such a stand for us and for what you believe in. If more physicians did this, we would all be better off. Love to you and enjoy Canada. It sounds lovely. Love and best wishes, Moe Re: 7-10 day recovery > Yo Moe, that was to the point. There ain't no dummies on this site, > just a few trouble makers from . . . > > rml > > >
Guest guest
Vilinda, CLAP, CLAP, CLAP. You have said it all. I have a plate full just trying to get financing for the reversal let along anything else. I also have contacted Dr. Berger but I never received a response from him. It was always his nurse. No matter what I asked. Good luck to you, Love to all, Moe 7-10 day recovery > > > > Hello to all, > > > > My name is . Had my tubal reversal with Dr. Berger.
