Guest guest
Actually my symptoms seem worse so I don't know if taking antihistamines at night has caused worsening due to increased infection (already had small one) or just worse conditions outside with allergens. Anyway, if you take antihistamines. Try the ones without the decongestants. They dry you out more. If I can't get to sleep at night due to allergy symptoms, going without sleep or not sleeping well wouldn't be good either so I take them a 4 hour Chlor-trimetron (which makes me a little drowsy too. I cannot tolerate Benedryl for some reason) when I am really bad but I take the straight antihistamine without the extra stuff like decongestants or tylenol in them, etc. Maybe you could tolerate those better. Have you ever tried buffered ascorbic acid and other anti-inflamatories? That might help your allergies without antihistamine action. There is Airbourne but I think they are a little too sweet so if sugar bothers you (it does me), you may not want those but they are good if sugar is not a problem. Buffered Vit C has calcium in them to make them less acidic and easier on your stomach. Many of them fizz in water. You get them in powder, put in some water, and mix and drink. Drink lots of water to replenish water lost in execretions (mucous). Sneezing and runny nose and blowing your nose is like natures' little netti pot action. Drink alot of fluid and blow, blow and blow your nose, drink some Vit C and see if you can't clear the allergens that way. > > Speaking of infections and antihistamines, the new one that appears > to be homopathy,
