Lynn...many thanks for that list. I am printing it out. I love Homer

Hickam, Baldacci, Martha Grimes, Anita Shreve....but not her last

book....I think it was the Pilot's Wife.... Kellerman and his wife

writes, too. I love Jodi Picoult....did you read the one about the woman

lawyer who went to live with the Amish????....I read Lance Armstrong's book

and thought he was the supreme egotist!!!! I've read all of

Grisham's.....Liked Wally Lamb, but found it hard to read...Was one about

the Siamese twins? Have read all of the books....Have not read

Nora .....but have read Jane Hamilton and also Berg. She

writes very involved mysteries. Have not read Shirley or Chris

Bojhalian or Marcia Muller or Llywellyn. Will definitely try them.

Thanks so much. What was Wally Lamb's first book....was it something

about blue eyes or what? I read it for book club and can't remember the

title. P.S. Has Hickam written anything other than October Sky or

whatever the name was.....the one about the boys building rockets. Jane

Smiley is also a good writer. Thanks again. Cam

Yes, Homer Hickham has three? books out now? Lance has two more out now -

one at least I'm positive about. I read most of those books as a Librarian,

not so much as someone picking them off the shelves. Those are the ones I

reviewed. Don't do much reading these days. The little pleasure reading I

do I usually fall asleep in the middle of. LOL. Used to read 6 books a

week. Oh, well, you win some you loose some. Love, Lynn

Hi Lynne,

You have good taste in authors. I like several off your list: Higgins

, Brown, Kellerman, Bojhalian, Grisham, Nora

, Baldacci, Berg, Jodi Picoult and Wally Lamb. I have 2

or

3 books by Jane Hamilton in my TBR pile...I'm looking forward to reading them

(some day)...I have heard good things about her.

Thanks for sharing your list!

Jane Smiley wrote the book that is based on King Lear...only set in modern

times. A farmer and his three daughters. Really good.

No, she writes very complex books. I think she wrote Map of the World. You

will never forget her books....they are very deep and wonderful. I get her and

Jane H. mixed up, though. I know Jane S. wrote the book based on King

Lear....and it was great. Cam p.s. I am dying to start . When shall

we start????

Re: Book List B

Cam,

I have never heard of Jane Smiley. I will check her out on Amazon. Does she

write mysteries?

Sounds good, Kay. I'm going to go on line and try to get some questions to

answer about the book. If I find a good site I'll let you know. I must

confess that I started it last night because I am constantly getting calls from

the library that they have a book I've reserved. So I know my reading will be

spotty! I have the edition used for Oprah's book club. It is excellent.

The intro was really helpful. So far I really like it. Love, Cam

Re: Book List B

How about if we start reading A.ina on July 2 or 3? I just started

another book last night and I should be done in 2 or 3 days.

What do you think? Let me know..

Hugs,

Kay
