Beaumont EMS is a 3rd-city service, providing 911-only response to a community of about 130,000. Beaumont EMS runs approximately 1,100 calls/month with 5 MICU's. Service is all paramedic, with fixed stations and 24/48 shifts. We offer in-house CE, excellent equipment, and aggressive protocols. Full-time paramedics start at approximately $30K annually, with excellent benefits. Part-time paramedics start at $8.25/hr (will increase considerably in October). Requirements include: Texas certified paramedic ACLS & B/PHTLS provider Current, clear driver's license 2 years experience as a paramedic with a 911 system (full-time applicants only). Selection process includes: Written exam covering DOT paramedic objectives Physical agility test Skills testing (TDH BLS & ALS skills) Scenario ( " megacode " ) testing Interview.
