Guest guest
Hey Hey , My fellow Sci-Fi friend. I'm such an addict it's not funny. As I child I grew up on the original Star Trek on TV and developed a huge crush on Spock. He was my hero and role model. I liked the fact that he was in control of his emotions and wished that I could be too. I credit the character of Spock that gave me my interest in Logic and Computers. When I was 15, I picked up a book called " Stranger in a Strange Land " by A. Heinlein. That did it for me.. I started and couldn't stop so, I ended up missing school the next day as I just couldn't let go. My mom let me stay... bless her heart. When I finished, I ended up making a list of all the books this man ever wrote in his lifetime and started collecting. I haven't finished all his work, but at least I have a copy of it. The day he passed away was a very sad, sad day for me. I cried my eyes out. I had dreams of meeting him someday to thank him for so much. His way of looking at the world definitely rubbed off on me. He definitely joined Spock as one of my heroes :-) hugs, Norah (live long and prosper) Favorite books/authors Mystery/Suspense/ with a lot of fantacy...Sci-Fi

Guest guest
I've read all the Cats Who.....don't you just love them??? I adore Siamese anyway!!! Also like Faye Kallerman...I printed out your list and will get them. Love, CAm Favorite books/authors Mystery/Suspense/ with a lot of fantacy...Sci-Fi Used to read 2-3 books a week and be reading them all at the same time. Now I look for books with Large Print or at least easy reading print.....and read one book only. And if I don't mark my place I may find myself rereading whole chapters before realizing 'something' sounds familiar...LOL BUT I........................ Love: Terry and her whole Shannara series. Right up there with Tolkin. Also read: s and her Egyptian/n era series. Faye Kellerman another great mystery writer with a strong Jewish bent entertaining yet informative. A strong writer with LOTS of books to choose from. And beings I'm owned by cats there's the light/intertaining " The Cat Who.......... " Books by Baum.. Like I said I love to read but this past year I've either fallen asleep after page one or I'd read a chapter and have no idea what I'd just read...Plus my right shoulder and elbow [old injury] won't let me lay on them very long and I'm a right eye reader....You know glasses off and read with only one eye open.... Speaking of reading...it's after 3 am here so I'd better bring this to a close and see if I can get some 'shut-eye'. Just Me... K 1. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general. 2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better. Have a nice day everyone.
