Guest guest
Hey Pat, If we're talking about the same thing it's called antiogenisis. Medicine is injected in the affected person and it causes the capilarries (sp?) that 'feed' or 'nourish' the tumors. I was essentially researched for malignant tumors but I was thinking that maybe it also could be used for NF2. There was a " Times Magazine " article about it a couple of months back, so you may want to check on that. Mark ----Original Message Follows---- From: RWBARTELL@... Hi Crew, I heard about this a while back about a new break through in medicine. I read that there was two injections that you can get to make the tumors disappear. It was sent to FDA for approval. My friend told me the other day that FDA has approved the injections. I was wondering if any one of you have heard about this. Wonder if this can be used for NF? A tumor is a tumor right! If this is true. I wonder who we would contact to find out if we can have these injections. I'm asking a lot of questions because I hope this is for real. Waiting to hear from somebody, Pat B. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Having difficulty getting " in synch " with list members? http://www.onelist.com Try ONElist's Shared Calendar to organize events, meetings and more! _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web. Guest guest
Pat, Something like this has been developed. How do I know? My dad works for the company that did it. It's called Medtronic. I think they have a web site too so maybe you could do a search of net to see what you can find. As far as I know they haven't been used on NF2 patients. It's only worked on specific thing, but hey it's a hellava start! I'll go ahead and write my dad and see if he can tell me any more about it, then I'll pass the info here again. Have a good day! in AZ
