Guest guest
Welcome Misty! I am very glad that you had Abby tested to find out about the MDS. Alot of people do not realize that people with MDS require annual medical checkups and without the diagnosis the checkups wouldn't happen and the person is at higher risk for certain medical problems. Please try not to compare Abby to the residents with Down syndrome at your facility. The majority of people with mosaic Down syndrome have less developmental delays than a person with Down syndrome and often function fine on their own. Please feel free to ask any questions you have. We will all be happy to share our experiences with you and I will be happy to answer the more difficult questions. Where do you live? We may have families in your area! We were not going to have her tested, but I was always thinking about it. I work in a facility that has a couple of down syndrome residents. So we found out that she had the heart defect that is most common in down syndrome. Well we finally got the test results back she has mds. They told me that they don't know what has been affect by the mds yet. --------------------------------- Looking for earth-friendly autos? Browse Top Cars by " Green Rating " at Yahoo!
