How long before I should follow up my surgeon?

Hello, Sorry I have not written for while not be well due to my stomach and my asthma playing me up big time, Hope you all have a Good new year and a heathy one.I wrote to my Surgeon A week before christmas and I still have not heard anything I know he was on hoilday but he should off been back last friday what should I do, Shell I sent him another email reminding him ????? or wait to see if they come back to me???
