Hello ,

I've been doing some Spring cleaning with my inbox and I came upon your

email. Do you know the company that makes these TTY's that hook up to

celluar phones? Could you please pass on the information to me? It would

greatly be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mark

Hi Mark,

Wanted to let you know that the TTY I have, hooks up to my

cell phone and is made by AT & T. I ordered it and the cell phone from

Soundbytes.com. The cell phone is a Motorola. I hope this will help you.

Pat ` is this the EZcom Pro Cellular package that sells for $649 or or is it

the bag phone that Pete talked about, which I think is $599? I think Pete

suggested not getting the phone thru Soundbytes, as it would be cheaper thru a

provider? Just interested in if you can take your phone/TTY with you in your

purse or have a unit that stays in the car? Marie

Hi Marie,

My phone is the ez com pro cellular. I am really enjoying it.

The only thing I don't like is that you can't get VCO unless you have a

second phone.

I have this product and I can email you more details if you want...I

didnt get this thru Wyndtell either - thru my paging company here in columbus

but it all goes thru BellSouth for the service anyway.

Pete,

I went to the site you gave for the deaf products (someone had requested

it). Although I have the flashers and TTY and vibrating alarms, etc., I

have not kept up with the new technologies, and, in fact, other than a

TTY/phone I got a few years ago, I have not bought ANYTHING in 8 or 9 years,

so I am completely ignorant on these things.

The first thing to grab my attention was the " Wyndtell Wireless

Communication - Instant Interactive Communication " device which allows for

e-mailing, faxing, paging, and overthrowing small governments, among other

things. My first thought was, " I HAVE to have this! "

I think you (or someone on the Crew) mentioned the Wyndtell before. Is

there a catch? Is it not as good as advertised? What EXACTLY can you do

with it, and how well does it work?

Also, it gives two models as choices: the newer W950 for $359, and the

older W900 on sale for $199. Which was the one you used? If anyone knows,

what's the difference between the two models? Is the W950 worth $160 more?

Also, is there a monthly fee foe the services you get?

Thanks!

Yeah, please! Like I said, I am pretty ignorant about pagers, or any of the

new hand-held devices. Any good or bad things about it you can tell me

would be appreciated, as well as any info. on different models. The

Wyndtell is the only one I have seen, but I just found it last night and

haven't looked around yet, so any info. on other brands would be great.

Thanks,

All I know is Meri Garst bought one at the last ALDA mtg; she said in LA in

worked great, but in the rural area where she lives, reception is a problem.

Wonder if they would let you " try it out " ? I too would be interested in the

difference in the two models; if they have them on display at the ALDA kCON

again this year, I will see what I can find out. Marie
