Guest guest
,Thanks, I will consider it, but we already have him going to ville to IASIS. He is in with two other boys there and doing great. he just has anxiety when I first get him there. then he loves it. What I want is a small play group with two to three other boys that has a " meet up " or play date a couple of times a month where they can just " play " or the parents as a group can schedule field trips or other things for the boys to do together. Boy Scouts is too big of a group. If anyone knows of other parents in this area (Mesquite, Seagoville, Terrell, Kaufman, Ennis) with HF boys between eight and twelve, let me know. We have a covered arena here and can set up volley ball, we can work on horsemanship skills, tether ball, or hiking and can come up with some other ideas, as well. I want it to be a cooperative parent/child group to foster developing friendships. Ethan plays well with boys half his age and half his size. He is about five years delayed emotionally, socially, verbally.
Guest guest
Yes, . Now it is like we are going through the six and seven year old years with him. He will ask when Mason can come and play. I will keep looking to find others in our area interested in getting this group together. I use Carol Gray's social Stories in our home program, and IASIS works on these similar social things thorugh drama and role playing. It is worth thelong drive to get there. We found a fantastic restaurant near by called the Landmark Grill, so while he is in social, I go treat myself. They have great flame broiled steaks, hamburgers... I'm going to try something different each time:).
