As most of you can guess, it's about my son's genetic form of autism, its impact on our family, and how research related to his condition is important to understanding synaptic dysfunction in ASD. I was unsure about whether or not to share it here, because of popular opinions about scientific priorities in ASD research. However, the implications of Shank3 research are too important for it to be kept a secret. BTW, there are probably about 700 children in Texas who have the same genetic condition as .
