eeeeee......

Yes, the plane leaves about 8:30 tonite. Surgery is 11:00 am tmrw (Tuesday).

That will be at St. ph's as thats Pablo's place of preference. And even

though I gotta share a room, I think its a better place than St. Vnnny's. I

bet my nurse speaks english anyway. :)

My mom, sister and dad will be there too. They are staying at the Sheraton

Universal I think its called. I get a discount at Sheraton properties cuz

Caesars has the same parent company.

Tell me about the doc at Cedar. Is he supposed to be good? If you dropped

Pablo for a reason, let me know. I just want a good surgeon and I'm not real

loyal to anyone so far. I do want to talk to Adler soon about maybe zapping a

couple of my spinal tumors while they're still small.

I'm really scared. Leaving the hospital in a wheelchair isn't even my bigges

fear. Going through all of this and having the pain remain would suck. I

mean, i don't think they know 100% which tumor is causing this. But the whole

hospital experience really causes me grief, a lot of anxiety, ya know? I

think thats why I am so willing to try radiation.

I hope you can make it by sometime. Not sure how long I will be held

prisoner. I'm hoping only a few days cuz Pablo plans to go after this tumor

from the FRONT, the abdomen. I guess the pelvis bone kinda blocks a clear

shot from the back. Guys like you and I are so bloody thin (I weigh 116 now)

that they can get to the spine fairly easily from the front as long as its

low enough. .

Oh, and Pablo's secretary just called with the pre-op instructions. Seems I

get to have a Fleet enima tonite. Actually I have to have TWO !! One 3 hours

after the other. I won't hit the hotel til about 10:00 so I guess I'll be up

all nite. NF2 leaves you alone for awhile and then really comes after you

hard. I know we all have our own crosses to bare, but why couldn't we have

just been born with big feet or something??? :)

I've been sleeping in my desk chair too. I tried sitting up in bed, but for

some reason the legs need to be bent with the feet on the floor. Whatever

works, but the lack of sleep made it so I couldn't work all of last week.

grrrrrrr..... thanks for the reassurance tho.

Take care bud.

Go Pat! I am here feeling discouraged because I am probably going to go for

surgery #3 and I am wondering if my head can take it, and then I read about

you and ; at least I don't have any pain!!--course that could have to do

with the fact that there may be nothing up there---. I agree, some people

get zits, we get NF2! Wishing you the best and saying a little prayer to.
