Guest guest
My 6 yo son is currently on the following: Valtrex, Diflucan, SuperNuthera, Probiotics, MB12 and Enzymes and GFCF Diet. Does anyone know if there is any conflict between any of these treatments or if there should be anything else that is recommended to be supplemented? Also, due to finances, we have not yet been able to afford to do any testing and our DAN! Doctor has prescribed the anti-fungal protocol on the assumption that there is a yeast issue. We are only on Day 8 of the Valtrex and I have read on here that it tends to cause yeast flare-ups. How do I know if some of the new enhanced behaviours I am seeing are due to flare-ups? or die-off of the viruses or yeast? Could someone outline the most common indicators of yeast overgrowth vs. yeast die- off? My son has always been very OCD and we have definitely seen an increase in these behaviours as well as hyperactivity and a cold sore (that he has never had before) that won't go away. I would appreciate any help anyone has to offer. Thanks! Stacey
Guest guest
I don't think any of your supplements conflict, but someone else might be able to address that better. The ocd behaviors definitely sound like yeast. I think the Difulcan takes care of that so what you might also be seeing is yeast die-off. Doing a low carb and low sugar also helps as those tend to feed the yeast. > > My 6 yo son is currently on the following: Valtrex, Diflucan, > SuperNuthera, Probiotics, MB12 and Enzymes and GFCF Diet. Guest guest
This looks like a solid, agressive therapy. We have not used Valtrex and Diflucan for my boy, but we are using Valtrex and Nizoral, which is similar. Other supplements that we found helpful were GABA, L-thianine, which helped with anxiety. We also used PhosCol-900 for cleaning liver. https://www.emersonecologics.com/Products/EmersonMain/PID-BOD21.aspx Both were recommended by our DAN! based on my child's labs. We also like Carlson's Cod Liver Oil (1-3 tsp/day) --penumbra > > My 6 yo son is currently on the following: Valtrex, Diflucan, > SuperNuthera, Probiotics, MB12 and Enzymes and GFCF Diet.
