involved with diabetes for a long time, she says the low carb diet will cause

renal failure and liver problems,I have not read any of the books but could

someone address this just a little bit

, I have been low-carbing for over a year and a half. My blood test

numbers have either stayed the same or improved. I am in normal range on

basically everything. My BUN numbers have never strayed from the 7-9 range

in TEN years. What harms kidneys are elevated glucose readings. If you want

to join a group that is just for diabetics who low-carb, I can tell you how.

After reading post after post from people who have returned to good health

and lost oodles of weight, you may become reassured about these concerns.

This group is not specifically about low-carbing, but as you can see, many

people here have found that this approach works well for them. So you may

find reassurance from posts here. Or if you want to hear from yet another

group that is specifically for low-carbing diabetics, I can tell you how to

sign up.

I just had another microalbumin, and again, it was less than 10 (anything

beneath 20 is normal). I eat very high-protein, and all my numbers look

good.
