Guest guest
This maybe a question for Joanne but any advise will be appreciated from this bright group- There has been a 12 inch hole on the side of my bay window for most of this year. Few days ago we discovered it was home to a very nice looking skunk as it returned there after rolling and playing with our back door brisk mat. If it were a puppy, you would have thought how cute. Anyway as my whole family was watching this thing just after dark, it was completely oblivious to us. Surprisingly, there is no smell at all. Maybe something it wrong w this skunk-born without that odor making organ. Maybe we should make it a pet?? Kids think it is a great idea but I suppose skunks can become rabid. Should we enlist the help of humane society, catch it and give it that " surgery " and return it back to its home under my bay window? Since this new skunk is quite beautiful, (he has a great looking coat), he would provide novel entertainment when we are entertaining on our back patio. I live near the foothills of the Los Angeles Crest National Park. we get lots of wild life going through here. Once a skunk died under our crawl space. Now that smell was horrendous. Infiltrated my entire house for a year! But still waiting for a black bear to come by.... Anyone have experience w a pet skunk?
