I had a feeling this was going to happen once I saw the charges. Since this isn't Lyme related and it stems from other issues. Hello, I have spoken to my people and I want to assure you that is is going to be handled. I expect to hear from two different lawyers tomorrow morning. Doc is on vacation right now and is out of phone range but gave me permission to hire his attorney and forward all of his relevant information. My first step will be to ask for a continuance...basically delay this Nov. 16th date until the lawyer and Dr. Hoffmann have a chance to meet. Thexton, the attorney going after doc, has been know to cause problems before for alternative doctors. But he does not win his cases. I am hoping the lawyer will be able to settle this quickly and quietly. From reading the information, Thexton does not really have a leg to stand on. The issues being raised against Doc are not as serious as they were the last time. This time we have a statewide non-profit group willing to help finance and fund raise for his defense if it does become a true issue. This could all turn out to be a technicality and could disappear as fast as it was raised. I do think it is important to make a plan if things go sour but at the present time Doc will have an attorney who will handle it. Yes, Doc cannot afford this financially or emotionally but I am planning on asking the lawyer if he would be willing to donate a portion of his fees to our cause and at our first non profit meeting I will ask that we agree to handle his legal fees. I guess what I am rambling on about is this.... Let's not panic. Let's not put the cart before the horse. I do not believe that Nov. 16th is D-Day. Please let's all just breathe Christie
