Guest guest
Andi, I did see my first ERCP xray (last year). The common bile duct was extremely narrow, beaded and kinked. My common bile duct was dilated in April at Mayo Clinic. It was not possible to do it at the hospital I was admitted to last year. There were no obvious strictures above the right/left hepatic branch (stricture limited to common bile duct). I did not see that x-ray. I have had no symptoms since the dilatation (LFTs normal). Have any of you had a high grade stricture dilated??. Is this possible?. Hey...whatever they can do to slow the cirrhosis down is fine with me(other than stenting). Guest guest
Andi, I saw my ERCP X-ray as well. The blunting within the liver was visible (all the really little ducts are just GONE) and I have a nasty dominant stricture about 2/3 of the way down the CBD. I think I need to get mine " stretched " a bit -- depending upon my diet, I get gall bladder-like symptoms -- and I haven't had a gall bladder in YEARS! IT is a scary sight, that I do recall -- caught me off-guard and was a little shaken by the sight. Colleen --- Arne wrote: > Andi, I did see my first ERCP xray (last year). Guest guest
I've never looked at my ERCP xrays, but I have looked at my colon pictures. I even saved them from a few years ago. Then, when I had it removed, I kept it as a souvenier of what I lost. (sick, well, maybe, but, when I look at the picture, I am reminded of just how bad my colon was and it renews my commitment to making my jpouch work. I sent a copy of the pic to Colleen since she mentioned that it might show up on a the side of a milk carton. (my warped sense of humor jumped on that one!) ===== in Michigan (Dx UC 1984, Dx MISSING COLON 1999, Dx PSC 1997, PSC symptoms 2000)
