Guest guest
I would recommend Dr. Nomita Pothuluri who owns "Clinic for Autism" in the Houston/Katy area. She is an MD and a DAN doctor. (Dr. Volpe is a chiropractor.) Her number is . I'm a parent and we use Dr. Pothuluri for our two boys. Dr. Arturo Volpe references Has anyone seen this DAN Doctor in Houston? Just looking for references and experiences with him before I call to make an appt for my son. Thanks.
Guest guest
My son has seen Dr. Volpe and he is good. I like his holistic approach. As mentioned below, however, he is not an MD. This can come be an inconvenience if you need prescriptions, etc. We've also seen Dr. Potluhuri and I'd also recommend her. Neither take insurance so both are out of pocket and, for me, we were not reimbursed by insurance. -Sandy H. Guest guest
Hi, we have been seeing Dr. Volpe for a number of years and I do feel he has helped our son. We love his protocol and we consider him our friend.. I hope this helps you and always make your own decisions when choosing a physician for your child.. Not all personalities work together, but I do hope his works for you and your family.. I highly recommend him.. Guest guest
My biggest problem is with anybody who has parents follow their " protocol " which isn't really individualized and targeted towards the individual needs of each specific child. I was also was a bit leery of the fact that he wanted us to only use " his " supplements - is that really trying to help my child or your wallet? Guest guest
Valid points, I hear you. My experience with Dr Volpe is that he has a " protocol " that really works for all humans to get the body in good shape to heal itself. And then I found as you get further down the road in your recovery he is able to individualize more. I also understand your comment about " his supplements. " I saw it differently in that I see him taking pride in the quality of his supplements and he truly believes these to be optimal in standard. He never had a problem with my finding or using other supplements. My experience was that he was genuinely interested in our family's progress. We still see him and in fact have a phone conference with him on Thursday. > > My biggest problem is with anybody who has parents follow their " protocol " which isn't really individualized and targeted towards the individual needs of each specific child. Guest guest
Dr Volpe is the first DAN! doctor we saw for my son. He helped immensely early on. As my son's medical needs worsened, we did change to a DAN! doctor that was an MD for easier prescribing. It has been some years since we have seen him, but I feel that he took my son's individual needs very carefully. I also found his prices on quality supplements to be the same or better than I could get elsewhere. He never had a problem with us buying supplements from other sources either. I found him to be a caring man who did his best to give us the information we needed to start our son on a road to healing. > > > > My biggest problem is with anybody who has parents follow their " protocol " which isn't really individualized and targeted towards the individual needs of each specific child.
