--- I for one do not get tired of hearing your opinions. I will let

you know if my Dr prescribes soma for me or not. I havent had an appt

with him yet (its the 29th), but already I am nervous about asking -

and it never should be like that! I need it for my shoulder. I had a

frozen shoulder for 3 months and now it cramps terribly at times and

the soma is the only muscle relaxer that helps. Grrrrr. Nobody but my

pain MD ever listens to me....it gets tiring after awhile.

Apparently, they have all decided it is a dangerous, addictive drug

and neither my rheumatologist nor my pain clinic will prescribe it.

I got a prescription from my PCP about a month or 6 weeks ago, but

that was from the PA and she went from six months down to three after

talking with the doctor, and then said she wanted me to make an

appointment with the actual doctor to talk about taking it long term

because it is addictive. OMG!!!!! Didn't she think I tried to GET

an appointment with the actual doctor in the first place???? I'm now

trying to wean off of it because I don't think I'm going to be able

to get another prescription, which is really pissing me off.

based on the reaction I've gotten from the other doctors when I told
