Guest guest
If an amnio shows that only two of 23 skin cells taken show signs of mosaicism, what does that mean for the child? Can the health implications still be severe? Thanks for any info, Suvi
Guest guest
Suvi There really is no way to know. It depends on where those cells are located in the body. For instance: If the affected cells are located in the heart, then you would expect heart problems. But, there is no way to find out exactly where the cells are located and what they will affect in an amnio. It is just a " wait and see " kind of thing Kristy Suvi Aika wrote: If an amnio shows that only two of 23 skin cells taken show signs of mosaicism, what does that mean for the child?
