Given the budget crisis in Texas and a request for across the board budget cuts the 82nd Legislative leadership will have many tough decisions to make. It is more important now than ever that your voice be heard. Many people are at risk of losing services currently received through a Medicaid Waiver program while others continue to wait for community-based services on a " interest list " . Don't Miss This Opportunity! Participants will leave empowered with data driven information to guide discussions and strategies to employ during the session. St. United Methodist Church    East Building Festival Hall    1401 Mira Vista, Plano, TX 75093 Check TV Monitors for Assigned Room    Approx. 0.7 mile East of North Dallas Tollway @ Plano Parkway  ♦ Self-Advocacy Group Teens (7th Grade and up) & Adults with Autism. Participants will learn about autism and its’ effect on their lives while developing a great appreciation for their individual gifts and talents. It is important that participants know they have autism. Several ASCC Board Members, including some with autism, facilitate the group activities. Bring an object, book, picture or other item that represents their talents, gifts and interests. Bring $5.00 to pay for pizza, snacks and soft drinks. The meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. and lasts the length of the general meeting.
