Hi Bethany,

Welcome to the Group!! I hope you find everyone here as helpful as I have. They

are really a great bunch of people.

You don't have to know what to say, just type away. Tell us more about you? Do

you have fibro? Children? Are you married? How long have you had fibro or been

dis-abled?

Myself, I live in the OKC OK area, in a small town called Yukon. I have 2 boys,

ages 17 and 21. My 21 yr old is in the Army and about to go to Afghanistan, so

I'm on pins and needles. He is home on leave right now, but returns tomorrow.

I'm of course not looking forward to this at all. He's been home a little over 3

weeks, but not near long enough.

I've had fibro and CFS for nearly 14 yrs now. I've got a slew of other

illnesses, in which I take over 30 different meds every day to treat. I just try

to keep my spirits up and stay positive. It's best for our mental health. Our

mental health can truly make our physical symptoms much worse, so it's really a

must to try and stay upbeat. A few of my other illnesses are typed in below, if

you're interested in reading them.

I'm glad you found us and do look forward to learning more about you.

Take care, hugs!

I would like to thank everyone for welcoming me its nice to have

people to talk to. First off I have Interstitial Cystitis and have

had it for about 6 months or so and only been diagnosed for about 2 or

3. I am not disable just in alot of pain though I am seeing a doctor

to help with that. I am happily married with 2 children from a

previous marriage a 14 yr old son and a 12 yr old daughter and we live

in Mississippi. I am so glad I found this group. Tommie enjoy the

time you have with your husband while he is home and while I don't

have fibro i kind of understand because my mother had it. Nice to

meet everyone.

Well lets see...like i said I live in MS...I am 31 married with 2

children... I have a 14 year old son and a 12 year old daughter by a

previous marriage.....I work in Surveillance at a local casino and

love my job. I was diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis about 2

months ago and have been suffering for about 6 months. I am now

seeing a pain med doc to try to control my pain I have been seeing him

for a couple of weeks and am really glad I have found a group of

people to talk to that don't think I'm crazy..lol...even though i

think i am sometimes..lol....people at work have been laughing at me

cuz i have been baking alot lately to try to cope with my new found

illness ( they don't know the reason for the baking they don't know

anything is wrong and i try to keep it that way) well except for one

girl I actually broke down and talked to one day because she has

kidney problems.....I am glad to be here...now i think i am

rambling....if you want to know anything else just let me know....

I hurt from my lower right back around to my front pelvic area....and

the pain is supposed to come from inflammation in the bladder

especially when it becomes full.... why we have it or how we got it

remains a mystery...IC is a disease that there is little known about

and no cure for....as far as I know you can treat the pain and the

frequency in urination and that about it...I am still trying to learn

about the disease as I still do not understand alot about it myself..
