Guest guest
Now, prior to this incident I had taken phrenegan for my nausea, and a bit later some dramamine for the dizziness Isn't phrenegan a NEUROLEPTiC??????!!!!!! I got out into the sunlight and it seemed better. the feeling came back several times but gradually went away. Very few drugs have been studied together. I'd put my money on overstimulation of the autonomic nmervous system from the lights. Guest guest
No, it's for nausea. I know it's for nausea, as is compazine, but I have a friend who's a doctor, who after taking just five doses of Mellaril wound up with TD. I remember one night on the phone he was telling me that they had prescribed Phenegran for his son, and he absolutely REFUSED to let his son take the cough medicine because he said it was a major tranquilizer and had the ability to cause TD, as does compazine. I've never done any research on this, but given that he's fairly astute when it comes to these things after his experience, I figured he was right. Guest guest
I'm taking horse chestnut, ALA, ginko, and looking for the GLA. For arthritic pain i'm taking glucosamine with MSM, anti-inflammatories when i have to, and trying st john's wort for my 'irritability'. (also still taking magnesium and fish oil). Still having swelling in the feet, pain from pressure, etc. they feel very hot, and any amount of time on them puts me out for hours (for a dedicated bargain shopper, that's a big drawback! ;-)) It's to the point that just going grocery shopping, i am tempted to use the store wheelchairs. Even just sitting here, the pressure on my feet from resting on the floor hurts. You had mentioned earlier something for " relaxing " the blood vessels to improve circulation? Sounds like that would also help decrease the edema that I think is causing a lot of the pain. susan Re: catherine, ideas? thanks Dear , You said: <<Had a little scare today. The edema is somewhat different. 1st--how much water do you drink daily? How much salt do you use? How much magnesium are you taking? My sense is that the edema is more related to your heart than to anything else. However, the heart is not the origin. The origin is your autonomic nervous system. Depo-Provera seriously deranges your entire hormonal system and we all know the antidepressants wreak havoc, too. Try a dose of Aconitum Napellus 30C -- Two pellets dispensed directly under the tongue without touching them. Keep your legs elevated when sitting. Walk every day. There's more but let's begin here. Guest guest
I am bad about drinking water; it was hurting my stomach so i tried room temp instead of cold. That's better but i still can't gulp down a 8oz glass at a time. and weaning off paxil may be a breeze compared to weaning me off my sweet tea <g> (grew up in the south). I'm taking 400mg magnesium (from mag oxide) twice a day. I only salt my food on rare occasions. my husband does the cooking but he doesn't use it, he salts at the table. However I took 1000mg of naproxen a day for several years for fibromyalgia; stopped when it started really tearing my stomach up and i developed a hiatal hernia. i'll get some of the aconitum tomorrow and try it out. susan Re: catherine, ideas? thanks Dear , You said: <<You had mentioned earlier something for " relaxing " the blood vessels to improve circulation? Guest guest
"extrapyramidal reactions"? Didn't I explain it in the paragraph below? It's neurological problems caused by the drug which includes involuntary movements of the face, neck, sometimes arms, legs, and it also includes things like facial tics, cud-chewing, and tongue flicks (like a frog catching flies).
