Guest guest
Did a routine physical on a 31 yo new pt. Per hx no problems with GU ROS. I did not do a hernia check. I did talk about testicular self checks. I would do testicular checks with a return visit or if any concerns expressed. At the end of the visit did tell me he had this testicular check done when he had his exam years ago (he was tested for STD then). I then offered to do the exam to be thorough; pt prefers to come in at a later date for this exam or come in if any symptoms. Question: Do you include this exam all the time with your routine physicals? I did not do it with the neg ROS; pt new to me and also partly bec IMP solo without chaperone. How would you have handle this. Would not want to do a less than thorough exam and not serve pt with best care. Any opinions. (If female cpe, pap and pelvic almost always expected as soon as scheduled.)
