Well, I finally did my saliva test and got the results back. I am confused by some of the results and was hoping you could help me interpret them. I want to say up front that I sent the samples overnight Saturday but they did not receive the samples until Thursday! I do not know if this effects the results or not.

Cortisol 7 Am 5 depressed range 13-24 nM

12 PM 2 Depressed range 5 -10 nM

4 PM 3 Normal range 3-8 nM

11 PM 2 Normal 1-4 nM

Cortisol burden = 12 Ref value 23 -42 (What's this?)

DHEA 1 Range = 3 - 10 ng/ml

Under this there is a a key :cortisol : DHEA correlation and it lists 7 things and there is a chart next to it. Anyone who has gotten results from canary club understand how to interpret this?

It says Patient Results Interpretations

Depressed morning cortisol is suggestive of marginal HPA performance (What is HPA?)

Normal rhythm exhibits highest cortisol value for the day at 7-8 AM (OK, but it was too low. so what should I do?)

Morning cortisol augmentation or 11 Beta HSD inhibitors worth consideration (huh?)

Minimal cortisol rhythm; cortisol augmentation and anabolic support suggested (What does that mean?)

Also, if I start to use adrenal support, what will that do to my blood pressure?

NEXT- TSH 408 Normal 26-85

L thyroxine .24 normal (range = .17 - .42 ng/dl)

fT#3 .25 borderline low .21 - .27 pg/ml (borderline low)

TPO negative

Also, there is a note that the TSH might be an under estimate (what!!!) because of how old the sample was (growl) So it is higher than 400???? Which baffles me since I just had a blood test and my TSH was .13 on the range of .5 - 5.5 and my free T4 was .9 (no range given) I am very concerned about the inconsitencies here.

LASTLY-Estradiol 7 range - 7-20 pg/ml

Progesterone 167 range = 65 - 500 pg/ml

Free testosterone 11 range = 8-20

BUT I had my progesterone tested via blood two days later and my prgesterone was LOW! at 8.5 ng/ml with a range of 3.3 - 25.6 ng / ml where anything below 10 is classified as a luteal defect.

Since these tests I have started on progesterone subbucally from a compounding pharmacist, and frankly, I feel more moody than before.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Carol F
