actually i am a HORRIBLE budgeter.

trevor gets no child support because his " father " lives in england.

but yes, i DO get assistance with rent through the program i'm in, that's the

only way i can have a place of my own.

Well aside from the fact that is in Florida (?) and is in

Maine (?), (I think those are right), I think that sharing is a good

plan, but you all are way too far apart for this to approach being

practical.

well, here is my story at present since hubby has moved on

Foodstamps for JD and I $198.00 monthly

Emergency cash assistance (available for 3 months) $186. monthly

I am delivering newspapers $650.00 monthly, but I dont think I can do it.

Now I have been told that when I make more than $500.00 a month at anything,

our foodstamps drop to $47.00.

I am still in my apartment by the skin of my teeth, next month will probably

be the end unless i find a roomate either with an autistic child of her own,

or one who can live with an autistic child!

HOW can Kailey's father give $25 a week in child support? How is this even

possible.

I have been whining to my lawyer about the fact that the friend of the court

checks have been a hundred dollars too low (I have no idea why...) but still

I am getting $942 every other week. Granted I have five kids, but still...

Around here, that's EXACTLY how one qualifies for social services.

Very, very strange. Surely there must be SOME kind of provision for people in a

state of transition where you are, ?

And if this is the case, the next question would be: what are your ties in

Florida?

Is there a specific reason you have to be in that state?

This doesn't sound right in any case, . If you can't get daycare, you

can't get a job. If you can't get a job, you can't get welfare? Wait, are

you or are you not getting welfare checks?

I know very close to nothing about all this, and although I know welfare

checks are not all that big anyhow, this just doesn't sound right.

What the hell is welfare for if not for jobless people who are trying to get

back on their feet? I don't know where daycare falls into it, but wherever

that may be - - if you have two kids and can't qualify, exactly what else do

you need to qualify for daycare? A horse?

And as for food stamps - - - how is ONE person supposed to eat on 88 bucks a

month, never mind 3 people?

And as for Kailey's child support, that is ridiculous. Trevor's nonexistent

child support is more logical than $25 a week for fathering a child.

So in other words, if Kailey were perfectly NT - - - - you would have $432

less a month?

How do you make payments on anything?

There has GOT to be a way you can fix this. And is 'soc serv' something

like welfare? If so.... $180 per month????????????

You don't have to pay child support if you move out of the country, or is it

that he's run away from having to pay child support?

$800 a month was what my dh was drawing for unemployment this summer. Strange

thing, that was also our monthly amount for COBRA. Little things like mortgage,

food, water, electricity... didn't matter.

Hey, that is almost three dollars a day. You can buy a big load of pasta

and eat it for breakfast lunch and dinner. If you have leftovers then you

can perhaps splurge on a jar of sauce.
