Guest guest
Bruce... How tall is Jaecob? I assume you're talking about what we call a " walker " . learned to walk with one and it made a tremendously positive impact on him. He did much better after we outfitted it with swivel wheels. He progressed much faster then. We still have ours somewhere. It's actually been loaned out several times to people who are just trying them out, but if it is the right size I could get it and Jaecob could try it at the conference. It is a Kaye walker and I can't remember the name of the size, but could probably dig that out somewhere too...maybe. Just let me know his size. Also for anyone who might be interested. We have a like new Quickie Kidz wheelchair (the really small one) that used for about a year...mostly for preschool so he could get around with peers without being carried by an adult and on an eye-to-eye level with his peers. They sometimes even pushed him! It has the stroller type single handle and a Plexiglas tray with it. I've been meaning to call our durable medical equipment supplier (a friend) and ask if he knows someone who wants to purchase a used one, but I thought I'd ask the same thing here first. Our insurance paid for most of it (about $4500.00 total) and I'd like to get something out of it if we can. Actually I'd love to give it away, but my budget says I should sell it. I know our insurance company will allow the purchase of some pieces of used equipment if sufficient documentation is provided re:quality, savings, etc. So, if anyone would like to see it, just let me know. I'll take it to the conference if you're going to be there. Meanwhile, the count down is on. The conference is almost here and my sanity is precariously perched on a very small tightwire! Can't wait to see those of you who are coming. I'll be the really tired looking one! You're in for a real treat. It's going to be fabulous!
