Hi Everyone

As you know a few weeks ago we were talking about making an MDS

awareness bracelet. Also, you will remember that I said I wasn't a

bracelet wearing person and really had no opinion on the idea. Some of

our board of directors felt the same way.

Well, after designing this bracelet and making it specific to MDS, I am

NOW a bracelet wearing person! LOL I don't want to take mine off! The

bracelet is beautiful (the picture doesn't give it justice) and I love

that it is so specific to MDS. All of our Board of Directors are just as

excited as I am and have been antsy for us to get the order form

together so they can purchase bracelets for themselves, friends, and

family! I already have friends and family waiting to order theirs! LOL

In addition to making the MDS bracelet, we have decided to also make the

original Down syndrome bracelet available for those of you also have

children with Down syndrome.

These bracelets will prove to be a wonderful keepsake that I know all of

you will love! You can purchase yours online at

http://www.imdsa.com/bracelets <http://www.imdsa.com/bracelets>

Each bracelet is available in 4 sizes. Child size and 3 adult sizes.

We also made the point to remember those of you whose children have

MTDS. This bracelet also symbolizes MTDS as well.

When purchasing the bracelet, you receive an attached card that has

IMDSA's information and the description of the bracelet as well. I think

that once you see the bracelet and the description, you not only will

want to buy one for yourself, but also your friends and family! These

make great gifts and I know whoever receives one from you will treasure

it for a life time.

The description of the bracelet is as follows:

In the IMDSA bracelet there are 21 cream colored Swarovski pearls to

represent the 21 st chromosome. You will find that the Swarovski pearls

are separated into three Swarovski pearls and two Swarovski pearls. This

represents the mixture that happens with mosaic Down syndrome. The one

remaining pearl represents Mosaic Translocation Down syndrome where a

cell from the 21 st chromosome breaks off and attaches to another

chromosome.

The five Swarovski colored crystals represent the colors of IMDSA.

Red signifies the determination individuals with MDS have. Each are

determined to reach their goals and with acceptance they can!

Blue signifies the self-confidence that we strive to ensure our children

have. Without self-confidence there is no self-worth.

Purple signifies the dignity that each individual with MDS deserves.

Individuals with MDS are the same as everyone else and their dignity is

just as important.

Green signifies the development growth of an individual with MDS.

Although each may take their own time in accomplishing a milestone, they

will accomplish it!

Yellow signifies the happiness that our children with MDS bring to us.

We are not sad that our children have MDS, our children have brought

great joy to our lives!

In the DS bracelet, the 21st chromosome is represented by 21 cream

colored Swarovski pearls and the three copies of this chromosome are

signified by the pink, green and blue Swarovski crystals!

In both the IMDSA & DS bracelets, the heart charm symbolizes the power

of their love-a love that reminds us that all people deserve compassion,

love and an opportunity to show their abilities. To emphasize the

uniqueness of individuals with Down syndrome and mosaic Down syndrome,

the heart charm on each bracelet is different. A parent cannot choose

who their unborn child is going to be, but they can choose to love them

for who they are. Please accept the heart you have been given just as

you would embrace and love the unique gifts each person with mosaic Down

syndrome brings to the world.

Order yours today! http://www.imdsa.com/bracelets
