Guest guest
Hi , Mi name is Griselda, I'm 30 years old too and I have a beautiful daughter with MDS, she will be 2 years in October 22nd. I gave birth to na 3 weeks before the due date. we received the news when na was almost 2 months of birth. it was shocking news, but next days everything was normal. My and my husband are so proud of na because she's doing really good, she's very smart, she's not walking yet but she's almost there :-) i think she's a little bit scared. na knows some words in sign language and she's saying few words too so that's awesome!!!! we really don't know what it's the % of the affected cells( how do we get na's % ?) we're so happy on having her with us and I think you and your husband will be the same as us. i sent you a picture of na, that picture was last christmas. Guest guest
Surprisingly I have been quiety lately, too. Let me introduce myself, I am Irene Gunnels, wife to Mike for the past 15 years next month, mom to Nat 12 MDS, Luke 10, Emilia 7, Lillian 5, Isaac 2 1/2, and #6 to arrive in February. Currently I hold the position of Membership Chairperson on the IMDSA Board. So, I am the one that sends you the friendly reminders to join IMDSA, so we can continue our mission of MDS awareness and the ability to help educate as many people about MDS around the world!! So, if you aren't a member, please consider on joining!! It is really easy. Eight months ago we were transferred from IL to TX because of my husband's job. It has been an adjustment, but we are enjoying the adventure. It makes things easier fro Kristy to get things to me now!! LOL Because of a horrible special education system back in my hometown in IL, we began to homeschool over 5 years ago. I am soooo happy that we decided to go this route. Nat and the rest of the gang have thrived. I will answer any questions/concerns, etc. if anyone is interested. It is great to see all of the introductions. Can't wait to see more!!
