If you have a FIR sauna, you can apply it and then sit in the sauna.

I don't know about the biofilm issue, (and would like to know more about it) but I did read (please don't ask me where, I've slept since then) that trans-dermal magnesium also brings up the natural DHEA levels. I also benefit from the sulfur I get when using Epsom salts.

I do know regarding the DHEA part of the magnesium question, that these soaks really keep my husband " young " feeling, if you know what I mean. I would say it's possibly the only 'real' aphrodisiac in existence with no side effects.

So trans-dermal magnesium gets my vote, even though its a pain to get in there and soak as often as I need to.The weather is here, wish you were lovely,LoveRobin Little

I'm curious, can I ask where you got the info that taking it orally will help the biofilm manifest or strengthen, but taking it  transdermally will not? Not that I question that, I would just like to learn more about it. ...I mean, in my uneducated and sometimes illogical mind, magnesium, once broken down orally to it's 'digestible' form it, then gets absorbed into the blood. Wouldn't the results be the same if taken transdermally? Except maybe taking it transdermally may allow much higher levels in the blood, and

might be required for those with digestive problems? Or perhaps when you are fighting the colonization of the Lyme in the gut?

This sounds very interesting and probably beneficial to our treatments, I want to learn more! JimT

Hi ,

Swanson has a whole food multiviatmin... It has 100 mg of magnesium in it... We

can't completly

eliminate magnesium, I just try to keep oral magnesium salts to a low amount..

This is the vitamin

I use, you need to take 3 daily to get to the values in the supps list...

multi-vitamin or plain multi-mineral supplements (that are food-based and not

synthetic-based) that do not have any magnesium in them - since those with Lyme

Disease are not supposed to take oral magnesium supplements because of them

causing bio-films over the Lyme Disease bacterium? I am especially wanting a

multi-mineral supplement but is there such a one without any magnesium?

The reference from Dr. K is to supplements only, not food...

Hi Robin,

Check out this link about increasing DHEA levels with mag oil...

Note: Magnesium chloride is both a powder and also mag oil.. In this article

it pertains to mag oil...

http://healthyprotocols.com/2_dhea.htm

Magnesium oil is one of the most important supps for someone with Lyme... Best

to use only

Zechstein mag oil, no current day pollutants!
