Guest guest
Easier said than done, , but at this stage - - - the degree of severity is of really very little importance. Nothing is decided, and depending on which therapy he responds to, will probably change the degree of severity many times over before he's settled into one " label " . I know firsthand that my girls have gone from " so damn autistic I can't stand it " to " could she possibly be NT " all in a day, and sometimes, going back and forth many times. Normally, Syd seems to be mild, and Madison moderate. But yesterday, as I was doing the poll on yahoo for this group, I decided to write in that Madison was severe, and Sydney was moderate. That was just how they were yesterday... and today, for that matter. A month ago, I would have easily declared that they were both extremely mild. I'm happy for you that the doctors were able to see what can be like at his worst. I remember being petrified when we went to get our dx for the girls, and in the waiting room, I told them to sit in the chairs, thinking they will never listen. And then they sat. And waited. Quietly. Happily. I wanted to die right then and there., LOL!!! Grace 's Psych Eval... > Well, I just got home from 's Psych eval...... > > I have been proven. Guest guest
, I am so glad things went well for you at the eval! Don't you hate it when the kids make a liar out of you? Now maybe you can get the help you need. Good luck with your next meeting. ===== Ginger, wife to Jeff 14 ADD 9 Autistic 7 NT __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Yeah for you ! I wish the idiots at 's old school could have seen at his worst! My fights might have ended much sooner.....! Try not to let their image of him being more severe than you think he is depress you. After all, they haven't seen him at a good time like you do. I think it's so cool that you could sit there so relaxed and just let him show what he can be like! What a perfect vision! Isn't it humorous the things we relish! Don't worry so much about the severe score. I think is still too young to make that assesment. They put that on Kep's dx too, but I don't believe it for a minute. Hang in there.
