Brad Woodall [] At home study stuff Anyone familiar with s Educational Publishers? It's a program where they help you Clep out of classes for credit and then you apply your credit towards a degree through Regents College. Has anyone tried it? I am thinking about it and would like to hear from anyone who has " been there, done that " . Thnx Ken Emt-P No tricks, no gimmicks - just a great intro rate for Internet users! Guest guest
Exactamundo, Donn... Go to this URL and find that Regents College puts out " Study Guides " ABSOLUTELY FREE. These study guides will tell you exactly what you need to know for a Regents College Exam and what texts to read to find this information to study for the test-- this is essentially the same thing Educational Publishers does-- for about $300 per course. FREE or $300-- You do the math! Brad Woodall [] Re: At home study stuff >Regarding Educational Publishers, the nursing course they offer is via >Regents College in New York. Guest guest
Regarding Educational Publishers, the nursing course they offer is via Regents College in New York. Regents is well known in the distance education world as one of the good ones, particularly for working adults re-entering college life. Their URL is http://www.regents.edu/023.htm/ . Guest guest
I am currently using the Education at home study stuff, and I sure wish I had checked with Regents College prior to signing on with ! Regents does indeed offer FREE study guides for the academic as well as the Nursing portion of the degree, and also gives excellent tips on extra study materials. Also college bookstores have the material you need for the academic supplies you need, ie.. Intro to Psychology book and workbook. Which is exactly what you get from , a book and a workbook that you fill out. You don't turn anything in, no grading to find out how you're doing. I bought " the official " CLEP study guide and realized that the materials I received from did not really prepare me totally for the exam. Giving credit where it's due though, I did get some FABULOUS books such as the Lippencott manual, however, these can be purchased at college bookstores also. Take it from me, save your money {approx $2700.00} and research the information offered by Regents on how to get your degree using their resources only! Guest guest
Almost forgot! The information regarding tests sites for the Nursing as well as the Academic are available from Regents College. The list provides you with test sites close to your area, and the tests are relatively inexpensive!! Good luck!
