Advanced Ambulance, TX EMS Magazine

Hi,

I'm and EMT-B taking my EMT-I class who just move to the area. I have been

offered a job with Advanced Ambulance at $6.00/hr.

Does anyone know if Advanced is a good company to work for? It seems the pay is

lower than other companies advertise (7.00 start for basic), but Advanced is

closer to my home. Still, it seems they ought to offer similar salaries. Also,

is it standard to practice to get no vacation until you've worked for a year?

Any word

on companies to avoid/try to get on with? How about municipal Emergency

Services?

I subscribed to the Texas EMS magazing about 3 months ago, but haven't seen my

first issue yet? Who do I contact to check things out?
