Guest guest
You guys are thinking way too hard about my question!! (although I do appreciate the point you are making) All I wanted to know is whether knows about her past strictly from what others have told her, or whether any of this information comes from within. In all I have read she says that she only know about her former life from others, and I wondered whether this may have changed at a later time. Guest guest
Dear , Thinking too hard? No wonder my head aches. The simple answer to your question is apparently no. Guest guest
Ha ha! Thank you for indulging me with a simpler answer, Steve. If I were looking for an explanation for 's memory loss, another possible cause is discussed in A Cry In the Desert. is asked whether she was a walk-in (a new soul changing places with the old), and she does apparently admit to this, although not with alot of conviction. I always have to take into account that answers questions from her own state of conscioussness, and her answers may mean something different from the intention of the person who is asking. But after it was explained to what a walk-in was, she did seem to accept that she was one. Who knows? I am not aware of any other holy people who have claimed total loss of recogition or memory of their former selves, only a loss of identity with that self, so maybe is a walkin. It would explain alot of other things about her, too. Love > > > > After her awakening, has said that she only knew about > > her > > > past > > > > from what other people told her. Guest guest
Hi , Thanks for reminding me about the " walk-in " reference in Cry In The Desert. In Losing The Moon, makes statements like: " I came in brand new at 46 years old. " and " I came in backwards. " " People are trying to go from Earth to Heaven and I came from Heaven to Earth. " She says she came back for herself out of self love and she add, " who wouldn't? " . Of course that means she came back to earth for all of us. Guest guest
Oh my God, that is beautiful! She is such a mystery. I still could not say for sure whether she is admitting to being a walkin, but she might be? > > > > > > After her awakening, has said that she only knew > > about > > > > her > > > > > past > > > > > > from what other people told her. Guest guest
, Did you notice in A Cry In The Desert where she is asked about being an incarnation of Jesus? It is not real clear but seems to indicate that she and the Christ are one, but then again, that is true for all of us as well. Guest guest
Yes, Steve, I did notice that, and I thought it was powerful. In my own personal and highly subjective opinion, even before I read this, I felt that is Jesus Christ. I felt it strongly. I have been around other saints and masters, and have never had that thought before. Maybe it is simply because she is the fullfillment of The Christ's teachings. I don't know. But I do not see any difference between her and Christ. Guest guest
This is an intersting story, and supported by the fact the Krishnamurti died at just about the same time that " awakened " and he died in a location very close to at that time. I love that story - is a walk in of Krishnamurti. It could be true. And what difference does it make in the long run? Guest guest
These posts remind me of sitting at 's feet at the School in October and I had the image of the disciples sitting at the feet of Christ, and I had the thought, " this is the second coming. I sit at the feet of the master, and the master and I are one. " I also had the thought that it is not personal. In other words it is not about , the person, but about the awakening of the Christ Consciousness, if you will, in her and in all of us. This is the same consciousness, it seems to me that has awakened in Eckhart Tolle, and in Gangagi, and is " flowering in human consciousness " at this time as Tolle puts itl, because it has to or perish. I see " The Work " as a process by which we are now all able to " awaken " into the truth (christ consciousness), or not. When I believe these stories I feel excited and in awe. Can I really know they are true? No. Do I need to? No. In reality just breathing is just as much a miracle. Did you notice? Guest guest
Tami.. I know this is not related exactly..KAtie probably just forgot.. but when i was at a Self REalization Center i asked one of the nuns if i could take her picture and she said no but i will take a picture of you.. and so she did and i was alone. I think it is consistent with not being egotistical or being humble but i dont know if that had anything to do with what happened to you. its a story i suppose, love, rh -- In Loving-what-is , wrote: > > isn't it great that it's not necessary to trust anyone else's word to be happy.... > > Tamar Fattal wrote: I have heard say something like: > > " Tami, come to me after my last lecture (at the school) > and you could have a picture with me " . > > I trusted her word, came to her after her last lecture > but she was gone. > > So, I wouldn't trust a word this women say's > she is like me: living the moment, and has no past. > > T > > -- Re: Did ever get her memory back? > > I have heard katie say something like ~ there is no such thing as memory, > only the thought arising in this moment. > > wrote: After her awakening, has said that > she only knew about her past > from what other people told her. Guest guest
I would say Theres no difference between Jesus Christ and all the great masters.. Flo used to draw a diagram on the blackboard of a mountain and paths up the mountain at the bottom all religions are far apart and seem separate but as a person gets closer to the top of the mountain (destination -God ) The paths all narrow and become as one and all relgions seem to be alike and without separation. Im sure all the masters of all religions totally agree and arent in any way separate and yet the people of every religion who are not very far along or at the bottom of the mountain see only separation and differences. I know we are suppose to be one but i have not had that realization. I have read of gurus who took over someones body and were walk ins. I'm a little disappointed because i want to beleive katie over came her negative state on her own. And yet that seems to be the only explanation for her poor memory. ANd who cares how the work came about only that it did. And so many have been helped and have overcome negative states. So there are examples MAria,i think you should be a counselor not go to one.. and yet maybe you could do both or counsel your counselor. guess im in your business love, rh -- In Loving-what-is , " " wrote: > > Yes, Steve, I did notice that, and I thought it was powerful. Guest guest
Hi, I agree that 's appeal is that she was just a regular neurotic person like us before her experience. I think there are enough Avatars ect. floating around the spiritual scence spouting unverifiable and contradictory stuff that we don't need another one. The memory loss and can be explained by the mental breakdown/shift that she underwent so quickly. Guest guest
Hi , A person with bipolarity and on sick leave for two years cannot be a counselor. Is that true? Can you absolutly know that it is true? How do you react when you believe this thought? Who would you be without it? Turn it around. Does the turn around feel as true or truer? If not, I invite you to go back and ask again, Can you really know that it is true that a person with bipolarity and on sick leave for two years cannot be a counselor. Where is your proof? Turn it around. Is that as true or truer? Until it is, your work is not done. Do you have a friend you can call that also does the work? If so you could call them and agree to take turns facilitating each other, so you can get a feel for it. In my experience the answer to your question is yes, but until you self-realize, it it won't feel true for you. I love that you are pondering facilitating the work and I'll do anything I can to support you in that and encourage you in that . love, Ric > >Reply-To: Loving-what-is >To: Loving-what-is >Subject: Re: Did ever get her memory back? >Date: Thu, 23 Feb 2006 08:58:44 -0000 > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >Â Â After her awakening, has said that she > >only > > > > > knew > > > > > > > > about > > > > > > > > > > her > > > > > > > > > > > past > > > > > > > > > > > > from what other people told her.
