Guest guest
Hello, Our son has had yeast overgrowth and a significantly extended stomach, along with all signs of yeast such as itchy skin, terrible gas and very loose stool. We started to cut his sugar down and give him Diflucan about two days ago. And he has been tired and very irritable. I know some of his irritability is likey due to yeast die off that is always mentioned. However, I was wondering when you would worry, if at all, to check other things that might cause irritability and tiredness? Thanks in advance for any suggestions, Cetin Ciner
Guest guest
You might try to give him some Activated Charcoal (don't give this every day) away from food and medication. That might help. Also, you might try Young Coconut Kefir. It is an amazing probiotic drink that you can make at home. You can see how to make it on youtube if you serach for coconut kefir Woeller. You can also see my posts under the thread titled Nystatin, if you haven't already. I discuss my experiences with yeast overgrowth (for my son) and the endless battle to control it via antifungals and some diet. I mention our success with sequential homeopathy. Also, you might consider the Body Ecology Diet. There are many success stories on www.bedrokcommunity.org (I think), which is one of the best diets for controlling yeast. Many people find the Special Carbohydrate Diet to be excellent. Take care, Irene
Guest guest
Thanks very much, Irene for your post. We are making notes from it and I will look for your other posts under Nystatin. We just ordered books on SCD and will look into the diet you metioned. Also, do you have a favorite source for Activated Charcoal? Guest guest
terrible gas and very loose stool can be signs of chronic bacterial infection in the gut. SCD should help address that, you may also want to look into digestive enzymes, as well as natural antibacterials Natasa > > Hello, > > Our son has had yeast overgrowth and a significantly extended > stomach, along with all signs of yeast such as itchy skin, terrible gas > and very loose stool. > > We started to cut his sugar down and give him Diflucan about two days > ago.
