Hello all,

I recently started police academy, and I am currently

certified as a paramedic. Does anyone know of a service in the central texas

area that uses police/ems? Any information would be greatly appreciated...

Although our department is not located in Central Texas, the DFW Airport

Department of Public Safety is a cross-trained department. All officers on

the department must be State certified as a police officer, fire fighter, and

one level of EMS be it ECA, EMT, or paramedic.

The recruiter for the department is . He can be reached at

(972)574-5545, Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. He can answer

any questions you may have about the department.

  • 2 weeks later...

Seems I read an article that some of the Officers that work at DFW Airport

are cross trained/certified Fire/EMS/LEO. Might be worth a phone call

to them to see. Please post if you find out ...

thanks for the reply!! I knew about DFW, but was wandering about other

police/ems in my area. After I get out, i am already going to reserve for

the sheriffs department, and keep my job at the EMS..

Thanks for the reply.
