All -

I've contacted the National Registry SEVERAL times about offering a BASIC

level exam in this area. Problem is, since Texas doesn't REQUIRE the NREMT

cert, and since Basic is a fairly " widespread " certification, it's not seen

as an " in-demand " test. I believe, however, that a testing center would be

willing to offer an exam if there was enough interest.

SO, if you would be interested in taking the National Registry EMT BASIC

examination, please respond to me DIRECTLY (NOT a reply all or a reply to

the list, send it to mreed@... (my daytime work address)). I'll

compile a list and try to guage the interest, then see if a testing center

is willing to host the exam.

Please feel free to give me names of people NOT on the list, but realize

that I cannot contact them directly with the information I find out.

Finally, I'm in the HOUSTON area, but I'd be willing to try and set this up

in HOUSTON and/or AUSTIN, depending on where people would be travelling from

- please let me know your choice of location.

Thanks in advance,

Mike :)
