Guest guest
My oldest son (18) was diagnosed today with babesia, but no Lyme. I took him to have a live blood analysis which showed this. I was reading a couple of posts online just now and from what I read, which were only people's opinions, you cannot have babesia without Lyme, since it is a co-infection. The women that views blood says that she sees many cases that have no Lyme, but babesia alone. Does anyone have any experience with this? My son had no spirochetes in his blood, which see sees some of the time, but she always sees some cysts and there were none.
Guest guest
I seem to remember that there are other vectors of babesia, just can't remember what they were. I'd always thought it was a separate disease that had been engineered to accompany the weaponized Lyme so many of us in the Northeast have.Be well,Léna. Guest guest
In this live blood analysis is only used a few drops of blood.Because of lyme being incredibly intelligent to hide , you will not always see it .Treat beyond symptoms by at least a month. As I said before,Lyme hides in other fluids as well as being in the blood,.But no blood test has been proven totally accurate yet.Live blood analysis, while a great alternative tool, would not be recognized by mainstream medicine or disability. No you do not have to have cysts show up in blood to still have lymeJan,I did not have a typical blood test done. She took some drops from him and viewed them on a high powered microscope connected to a computer screen. He has been very tired lately, so I just wanted him checked out. He has had Lyme tests done before, just since has had Lyme, and he had never had any bands present. I do know that it is not always in the blood, but you should see some cysts present in the bloodstream. He was also bitten fairly recently so you would think they would still be present in the bloodstream?mary "Im not trying to counsel any of you to do anything really special, except to dare to think, and to dare to go with the truth ,and to dare to love completely." -R. Guest guest
Hi , I would disagree that you have to have Lyme in order to have Babesia... They are two totally separate diseases, one in no way is attached to the other.. HOWEVER, since this creature MAY start its life cycle in white footed mice (or other warm blooded animal) as does Lyme, there probably is a higher correlation of Lyme and Babs together, but not absolute. http://www.stanford.edu/group/parasites/ParaSites2006/Babesiosis/lifecycle.html http://www.icp.ucl.ac.be/~opperd/parasites/babe_life.html In chronic Lyme, there usually is not a lot of spiro's in the blood, they already have moved deeped into cells and bone. Usually a special darkfield microscope is necessary to even see them.. This video shows spirochete's in blood using a darkfield microscope, but it does not mention if this is an acute or chronic illness.. Guest guest
Jim, Thank you! With Chris' blood, I could see them actually leaving the RBCs as they were dying. I only saw a few in Chris's blood as you described. > > > > My oldest son (18) was diagnosed today with babesia, but no Lyme.
