Guest guest
It's appropriate, I guess, starting a New Year, and ALL OF MY RECORDS ARE GONE!!! Last night, I installed something called " Error Guard " , at a cost of $29.95, which promised to remove errors from my system. It said it would check my system for free, and when it (finally) was done, it said I had something like 4306 errors in my system, which it would correct for the above fee. I'd been having some problems with the PC, so I went ahead and did it. The process took a long time, but after I had " corrected " a couple hundred of them, I decided to log on and see if there were any changes. It had f*##k*##g deleted my access to the internet completely. I spent 6 hours from aroung midnight to 6 this morning trying get back on, and failed. Spent several hours today, and used the HP Recovery Discs to get back on, and also re-downloaded AOL 9.0 from the disc. I finally managed to get back on, only to find that ALL of my files are gone, every old email, every setting, even had a hard time signing up again for Yahoo. I AM SO SCREWED!!! Clay, also majorly pissed off
