Guest guest
: has been receiving therapy services from both the county and privately, covered through insurance, since he was 6 months old. Although my insurance policy technically does not cover therapies, I was lucky enough to have a case manager at the time who approved all of the therapies outside the contract. It has been 6 years, and Knock on wood, every time he comes up for review, they approve it. If you feel that Jillian is not improving as much as you feel she should with the therapies she receives now, should should definitely look into the private therapy route. I know in 's case that if he had received only what the county provided, he would be nowhere near where he is today, especially in gross motor. I have had the opportunity to observe both the county therapies and the private therapies, and can definitely see the difference between the two. For some reason unbeknownst to me, the private therapists are more willing to go the extra mile than the county therapists. Hope this helps!
