Worth a try. Tho, they might censure the post.

But, if any of us posts over there, we could always add a tag-line to our

address. . . Something like, " Since Dietetics-L is no longer available, enjoying

the _rd-usa _ (mailto:rd-usa ) listserv for

RDs. "

Hey, sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

At one time, ADA stated there were around 12K on dietetics-l; however,

before it went to Community, they stated there were only 2000. I've

really wondered about that.

There are close to 2000 on the Community now, and around 600 on rd-usa.

Maybe we could start " recruiting " from the various state and DPG lists!

Hi, ne -

I also wonder about ADA stating that dietetics_L had 12K and then had

only 2K before Community. A few years ago, I briefly joined

Dietetics_L, but didn't stick around because I didn't see much activity

or diversity on the list. It seemed to be mostly sports

nutrition/fitness professionals at that time. I was *very* pleasantly

surprised when I rejoined last summer, and saw so many dietitians from

so many different areas of the profession. And I'm very grateful to

receive your posts!

I have dropped out of it and don't even attempt it when I get the email.

Too

time consuming, too cumbersome for me. I have to have the instant

for my efforts dt my lack of time, so can't brouse or linger. Mostly I

did

not find anything of interest so stopped going in. IF you try it and

I tell you what:

Why won't you go ahead and post it. and if they'll censor it, you let us know,

and we will ALL " bombard " the Community with our opinion about the " new KGB "

What do you say?

Great idea, Jan. As many of us do, I have the URL to my webpage right below

my signature, and although it serves a much different purpose and is a very

quiet page, it does generate some interest and sharing of ideas and

information. What I like about this, is the immediate response, which very

often is what I need. I have a vested interest in many more RDs joining this

listserve, bc often I need the answers and would like as many and as varied

as possible -STAT!
