you dont need a starch based recipe. when we cooked rice, before it actually

gets all steamed, you decant the water after it has boiled. so meaning your rice

hasnt cooked yet at this point. pinch of salt, pinch of sugar per 8oz. the rest

of electrolytes are coming from your rice 'wash'. you spoon it or use a dropper.

kids cannot drink ad lib otherwise the sugar load would make diarrhea worse.

dont ever remember using baking soda. for one we didnt have it available at all.
