technically you are responsible for the full portion if she cant

produce hers. If i were in your position, i would use whatever money

you have on a deposit for a new apt. Let the landlord evict you, you

might have a new place by then.

Very good point! It's a good thing you're renting -- it's easier to

pull up stakes and move out when the lease is up. Get out as soon

as you legally can!
