I have a question for you. I have a dialysis pt (peritoneal dialysis) who is

diabetic.

She recently visited her cardiologist and he took a lipid panel (NON fasting)

and these were the results...

Chol 158, TG 328, HDL 25, LDL 78

I have been encouraging this pt to eat lots of K+ d/t PD and her doctor told

her based on this lipid panel that she shouldn't have potatoes.

Any ideas why he would recommend this?
