I had reactions to trying the FFTF supplement as well. I tried it a few years ago, I was not on any thyroid hormone or adrenal support at the time at all, this is before I knew why I felt so horrible, when al lthe docs were teling me there was nothing wrong with me, an dI should be tired considering my lifestyle.

Anyway, I can't remember all the reactions all I remember is that I felt HORRIBLE when I took it. I think it was an adrenal reaction, in hindsight. If I recall correctly, I had horrible palpitations, and weakness, dizzyness, and really feeling like I was going to pass out. I tried a different blend, thinking it was a flavoring, and the same thing. Iwent off for a month and tried again one day, then just returned the remaining stuff to the health food store. Heck, I spent $100 on these supplements I couldn't take, so I returned them and told them that they made me sick, and they refunded me. I forget what blend it was, but it wsa something that was a powder in a jar, then with a B-complex pill that went along with it.

From fatigued to fantastic problem?

Hello-

I bought a bottle of fatigued to fantastic adrenal support to try until my Dr appointment with an alternative Dr in my area who treats for adrenal fatigue.

This is a huge leap for us, as these appointments are not covered at ALL by our insurance and they warned us that the labs will likely not be covered either. So I am nervous about the potential monetary peril I may be putting my family in, but we all agree this is necessary. He is costly though.

Thanks Steph for the recommendation you gave me last week to find the Dr. He is about 10 miles from my house, what blessing! Of the 8 closest ones from the source you gave me, one is probably your guy there in MI who was listed, and I am in MN!

So back to my question.

He can not see me until the end of July, so I bought a bottle of Fatigued to fantastic for adrenal support to see if it would help until my appointment, especially since i am scheduled to start a therapy called AP which is similar to the kill off for lyme disease, I figure any adrenal support would be helpful. In finally took the dilation test and drastically failed it. My BP however, went up when I stood, which sadly indicates heart disease if your adrenals are fatigued according to the book I am reading.

The problem is that I think I may be reacting to the adrenal support. Today after I took it (along with all my other supplements after lunch) I became nauseated, and had chest/stomach pain and shortness of breath. I felt my chest squeezed like an asthma attack but I was not wheezy. I made it to the recliner, told my 7 y/o to call dad at work to come home, and then I fell asleep in the chair until my dh came home an hour and a half later (he works in a down town area and relies on public transport). He had no idea what was going on. When he got home, he was upset to know how bad I had been, otherwise he said he would have gotten home sooner (which i am not sure how he would have but I digress...) Tonight when I took my tramadol for pain, I had a slight feeling of the same as I did after lunch, but not to a debilitating degree, so i also wondered about fillers.Yesterday when I took FFTF, I became very nauseated, and felt quite ill and it susbided in about an hour. Again I took it with my other supplements. The day before that was my first time taking it (with my other supplements) and I was fine.

I also want to add that I went off motrin after being on it for at least 10 years, and taking it every day for over 4. I became aware of what a horrible drug it is and was trying to decide what to do when I developed stomach pain similar to what is happening now to a lesser degree whenever I took it.

I do not know if that is related or not but I thought I would add that in.

So I do not know if =

1) My stomach was damaged by the motrin and these problems are residual

2) If the FFTF is reacting with another supplement

3) If I am allergic or adversely reacting to something in FFTF

or 4) I bet you all have thought of other possibilities as well.

Any input?Thanks

Carol F

It sounds to me like it stressed your adrenals--that sounds like a LOW

cortisol reaction, to me. I don't think I'd take any more of it if it

were me!

Carol:

Can you elaborate on the treatment similar to Lyme you will receive.

I think I would not take the FTFA since it is making you nauseous.

Thank you Deboarh and for your replies. What exactly is a LOW cortisol reaction? Thanks Carol

PS- I am about to take my supplements minus the FFTF....

I am going to skip it. Thanks for your reply.

I am doing something called antiobiotic protocol frequently used to treat rheumatoid arthritis. I was told by a Lyme disease suffer it is essentially the same thing. It is not for thyroid but rather for fibromyalgia. My past AB blood work against mycoplasm was sky high. I hope it works, I must get better. Why do you ask? Do you have input on the matter?

Carol, low cortisol is what we get with adrenal fatigue. The most

obvious symptoms are nausea and shaking when stressed--and it sounded

like the FtoF brought about that reaction, when it could have been

expected to make those symptoms go away.

Right, low cortisol does cause symptoms and I have low cortisol esp. in the AM, but I guess I do not know what a low cortisol reaction is? You do not mean a low degree then, but a reaction caused by low cortisol then? What you said is what I do not get, why on earth would something that was suppose to help cause that kind of reaction? I took my afternoon supps and did just fine, so I am guessing it was in fact the fftf. Thank you!

I have been rotating antibiotics for over a year now. I get a die off reaction (herxheimer reaction) and then vast improvement. I was never good at tracking things date and time wise but two of my docs who track me somewhat, tell me they think I am having a herx when I feel bad and forget how long it has been. I think the die offs occur once a month or so.

When I hit a particular thyroid dose and cortisol dose plus ceftin and diflucan pills, I suddenly felt like I have never been ill and even scheduled elective cosmetic surgery. At the moment I am either herxing or relapsing.

When I began treatment for a coinfection I got with Lyme I had another sudden improvement. It is very up and down and it has really weakened my adrenals.

Do you do kill offs with antibiotics?
